Activated Carbon Filter for Water Treatment

Activated carbon filtration system for water is a commonly used technology for adsorption of contaminants onto the surface of the filter. This method is effective in removing certain organics such as unwanted taste and odours, micropollutants, chlorine, fluorine or radon from drinking water or wastewater.

The Activated Carbon Filter for Water Treatment by H2OMSPL consists of activated carbon in granulated form. It works on the principle of adsorption. The activated carbon consists of small pores, in which the water gets trapped and harmful chemicals/pollutants are adsorbed by the provided media. Granular activated carbon is ideally suited for DE chlorination of water with free chlorine content, deodorization, de-colorization and removal of organic matter. The free chlorine is reduced to “Not Detectable” limits.

Activated carbon filters for industrial water treatment are used in a series, after the Multi Grade sand filter, to remove chemical and physical impurities in water. Multi grade sand filter and activated carbon filter can also be used in a combination as a pretreatment to safeguard further equipment.

At H2OMSPL, we provide activated carbon filters for industrial water treatment in various sizes depending on your feedwater conditions and plant capacity.

Applications

Our activated carbon filtration system for water is used across domestic, industrial, and pharmaceutical treatment plants. The filters are available in a wide range of metallurgy options, including FRP, MS-EP, MS-FRP, MS-RL, SS 304, SS 304L, and SS 316 to match your process and operating conditions.

Note: Performance depends on feedwater quality, and suitable coagulant dosing can further improve filtration.
