Activated Carbon Filter

Description

Activated carbon filtration is a commonly used technology based on the adsorption of contaminants onto the surface of a filter. This method is effective in removing certain organics (such as unwanted taste and odours, micropollutants), chlorine, fluorine or radon from drinking water or wastewater.
The Activated Carbon Filter provided by H2OMSPL consists of Activated Carbon in Granulated form. It works on the principle of adsorption. The provided media (Activated Carbon) consists of small pores, in which the water gets trapped and harmful chemicals/pollutants are adsorbed by the Activated Carbon. Granular Activated Carbon is ideally suited for DE chlorination of water with free chlorine content, deodorization, de-colorization and removal of organic matter. The free chlorine is reduced to “Not Detectable” Limits. It is used in series, after Multi Grade sand filter to remove chemical and physical impurities in water. Combination of Multi Grade sand filter and Activated carbon filter can be used as pretreatment to safeguard further equipment.
