De Mineralization System

Demineralization is a type of water purification. The term demineralization is typically reserved specifically for ion exchange (IX) processes used for near-total removal of ionic mineral contaminants.

H2OMSPL’s de-mineralization system removes dissolved salts from the water. TDS < 10 PPM is achieved at the system outlet. Our de mineralization plant consists of two segments, i.e., Strong Acid Cation (SAC) and Strong Base Anion (SBA). HCl is used to regenerate SAC, and NaOH is used to regenerate SBA after exhaustion of OBR. This de-mineralization plant is extensively used for industrial and pharmaceutical applications. The system can be used standalone, but it is better to provide a multi-grade sand filter and an activated carbon filter as pretreatment to avoid fouling of the resin.

H2OMSPL provides de-mineralization plant systems in various sizes depending on feedwater condition and capacity.

Applications

The de-mineralization plant has vast applications due to its effectiveness and low maintenance costs. Our de-mineralization system has majorly industrial and pharmaceutical applications. We do not recommend drinking de-mineralized water.

H2OMSPL provides systems in various sizes and metallurgy (FRP, MS-EP, MS-FRP, MS-RL, SS 304, SS 304L, SS 316) as per client and process needs.

Note:  Filtration performance depends on the quality of the feed water, and dosing a suitable coagulant can further improve its effectiveness.
